SWORD OF THE SPIRIT

A sword is an offensive part of the armor

In scripture, swords are used for

guarding-Gen3:24

Annialation-Lev 26:33 and Duet 20:13

Judgement-1 Samuel 15:33

DEFINED

Romans 8:10

"And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit IS life because of righteousness."

John 5:6

"This is He who came by water and blood. And it IS the Spirit who bears witness because the Spirit IS truth."

A sword has certain techniques as in fencing/swordplay but for its technical moves, it is still a dangerous weapon we cannot entirely predict.

COMMANDS

Galations 5:16

"WALK IN the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."

Ephesians 4:30

"And DO NOT GRIEVE the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."

Ephesians 5:18

OPPOSITION

It is said that we can be forgiven misuse of the name of Jesus or God, but blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. That's one way our enemy would have us to slip.
