Bradford McDermott "Developing Self-Control"

Developing Self-Control by Rick Warren In our Devotionals series, Pastor Rick Warren discusses the Bible passages that inspire him the most. Today's Devotional is based on this passage: "Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control" (Proverbs 25:28 NIV). Self-control brings with it the good feeling of competency. Like a finely tuned precision automobile, your life stays on course with the slightest touch of steering. The results of self-control are confidence and an i… Continue

suzzane donald How To Write A Good Masters Dissertation?

Writing a good dissertation requires certain dissertation writing help solutions which should always be used in order to write dissertations comprehensively. It is a critical requirement for every academic dissertation that the student should prove his research question in relation to the dissertation topic in the simplest manner. This can be done through the presentation of original thoughts or ideas or by analyzing what others have researched on the topic that the dissertation is about. If th… Continue

Alex My Christmas Sacrifice

As most of you may know, I'm a Service Manager for FedEx Ground. The hours can sometimes take a toll on me, especially during the holiday season, but I thought, 'No problem, I'm gonna get a 2-day break from work on the 25th and 26th. No big.'. All that changed when I found out that our terminals up in Washington weren't doing so good. Naturally, they needed help from other terminals. I was really hesitant to go since of course: I would have to leave the day after Christmas and miss out on one da… Continue

Angelica Poetry

I don’t want to be anybody else. I want to know myself in a deeper level Finding the purpose behind my eyes Staying away from the painful lies Discerning my life Don’t want to do much but sit around and do what I want Walking in hurt and remorse feelings about what could’ve been Now I run around trying to find myself In God A benefit from it all I guess that was the plan To make me closer to the one who caused Lacking potential and now I am packing Pain is a brick wall full of strength That is… Continue

Nichole Morse Purity Devotion...

Hey My Friends!! I was reading this devotion on purity by James McDonald! I thought I waould share it with ya'll. God has called us to a life of purity. We cannot attain purity or righteousness by our own strength or self disciplen... it is only by the power of Jesus Christ living in us. I read through this devotion and took a good long hard look at myself... My conclusion is that I am desperate for Christ to work in me... If you desire to have victory in your life we must call out to God in fai… Continue

Alex Philippians 1:9-10

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, Philippians 1:9-10 "The way we love others should constantly grow and deepen in its knowledge and insight. And when our love grows in knowledge, we can more readily 'discern what is best' for our lives. Don't we all desperately need that discernment?" -Josh Harris Continue

Naomi Leyva The Lie: " I am exempt from pain.."

The lie we sometimes fall into as christians is that there is a level of pain in which we are exempt from. The truth is that as christians we are going to have pain whether it is rejection or persecution, we are going to feel it. The result of this is: Discouragement: Asking why; or having doubt or Disengagement: Karma; past lives, and pulling away The Truth of this is: 1. Pain is a normal christian exprience. Philippians 3:10 explains that GOD lives to share his suffering. We are like sheep… Continue

Cintia G Use your time wisely...

"It is always easier to stand on the sidelines and take shots to those who are serving than it is to get involved and make a contribution. God warns us over and over not to criticize, compare, or judge each other. When you criticize what another believer is doing in faith and from sincere conviction, you are interfering with God's business: "What right do you have to criticize someone else's servants? Only their Lord can decide if they are doing right."" The bible calls Satan "the accusserof our… Continue

Alex God's Help Is Near

The Lord is close to everyone who prays to him, to all who truly pray to him. Psalm 145:18 Healing begins when we do something. Healing begins when we reach out. Healing starts when we take a step. God's help is near and always available, but it is only given to those who seek it. Nothing results from apathy.... God honors radical, risk-taking faith. When arks are built, lives are saved. When soldiers march, Jerichos tumble. When staffs are raised, seas still open. When a lunch is sh… Continue

Naomi Leyva The lie of Insignificance....

Being insignificant is a lie that most of us being human fall into believing time and time after day. You see the meaning of significance is, in my view anyways, to have value or meaning. When we fall into this mind set of the lie, the power of it renders us to feel powerless or unmotivated. But the question this brings up for myself is: Do you feel that you life adds meaning to the kingdom of GOD? As sinners we tend to look for ways in which we can make a significance for or lives inappropri… Continue

Nichole Morse Is the Bible Your Authority... Or Something Else?

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 You will never have the power to live a full and fruitful godly life until you choose God’s Word as your final authority. Do you want power over temptation? Over that draining circumstance that you can’t conquer on your own? God’s Word has the power. So let me ask you: Have you… Continue

Alex "Adios"

I was thinking about that word earlier and about what it meant. I know it means 'goodbye' in Spanish, but why 'adios'? 'a' in Spanish is 'to' and 'dios' in Spanish is 'God'. So, why does 'goodbye' in Spanish translate to 'to God' in English? So, as any inquisitive mind would do...I googled it. Ha! (I love google). I know Wikipedia is not a very trustworthy source, but this is what it said: "Adiós is Spanish for "goodbye". Literally translated, the word is the contraction of "a" (to) and "DiContinue
