CYA Cathedral of Faith

College & Young Adults at Cathedral of Faith with Pastor Ray Menchaca

"It is always easier to stand on the sidelines and take shots to those who are serving than it is to get involved and make a contribution. God warns us over and over not to criticize, compare, or judge each other. When you criticize what another believer is doing in faith and from sincere conviction, you are interfering with God's business:
"What right do you have to criticize someone else's servants? Only their Lord can decide if they are doing right.""
The bible calls Satan "the accusserof our brothers"(Rev 12:10)
Anytime we spend comparing or criticizing other believers is time we should have been spent building the unity of our fellowship."

Interestin topic. judgement...yet the bible also calls us in 1 Peter 2:9 to be a royal priesthood, a nation set apart. As we read His word more, we understand mercy and truth go hand in hand. How to speak the truth in love. In the bible, the priest or authority would administer justice among other duties. If we make a judgement it is possible to say it in such a way that as a friend will sharpen those around us in the word. Friends should sharpen one another, as in proverbs. Another distinction is that between a wolf in sheep's clothing vs. a stumbling saint and thus how to address either one. That was a quote I heard on the Christian radio that I appreciated and thought i would pass on. That quote about interferring in God's business caught my attention. I havent heard that before. I thought about it. Even when we do interfere in God's business, his plan, He is ultimately God, and we cannot outpower him by our stupid mistakes or decisions. Some one once said, "We cannot surprise Him."
Your sister in Jesus,
Coral
